MA Local Food Links

April 6, 2020

With many people trying to avoid in-person food shopping; grocery store delivery times are hard to come by. Where else can you get local food? Farms, Local Producers & Restaurants to name a few. I’ve been sharing these on my Facebook page but decided to compile the list here so it’s easier to share!

HOME DELIVERY in Massachusetts

Walden Local is my favorite for quality Meat, Eggs & Seafood

Dairy: The Cookie Monstah (northshore), Dole and Bailey, Puleo's Dairy Walden Local Meat

Local Farms List: www.massfarmersmarkets.org (many more offer curbside, see below)

Grocery: Baldor Food, Eatly, Ledger Basket (Salem, MA area), J.W. Lopes, Maria’s Gourmet (marblehead), New England Country Mart

Meat: Dole and Bailey, Eatly, Kinnealey, Walden Local Meat

Prepared Foods: Eatly, Grateful Burger

Produce:

Spices & Pantry: Eatly, Atlantic Spice

Seafood: Dole and Bailey, Eatly, Wulfs Fish

CURBSIDE PICKUP (Some offer Local delivery only)

Find additional regional delivery options with Mercato

Arcadia Farm (Holliston, MA)

Costa Fruit and Produce Farmers Market (Boston, MA)

Katsiroubas Produce They have greater Boston pick-up locations. I really loved this one!

Ledger Basket (Salem, MA area)

Medway Community Farm (Medway, MA)

Maria’s Gourmet (Marblehead, MA)

Outpost Farm (Holliston, MA)

http://www.patriotlobster.com/ (Salem, MA)

Russos (Watertown, MA)

Thatcher Farm (Milton, MA - Regional delivery)

Wards Berry Farm (Sharon, MA)

Wilson Farm (Lexington, MA - Regional delivery with Mercado)

Non-local Food Delivery :

Imperfect Foods (Fresh & Pantry) *My top recommendation for veggies! Less spoilage than others.

Loop Store (pantry) (zero waste reusable containers)

Thrive Market (Pantry)(delays for new customers)

Misfits Market 25% off code: COOKWME-AL0FWO (waitlist)

Scully Sea Products (lobsters & oysters from Maine)

Lastly, is the food safe? What if someone coughs on my food? Experts say it’s a low risk. Being around other people carries a much higher risk: https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/the-goods/2020/4/10/21216586/coronavirus-food-safety-takeout-grocery-stores

Love this shot of Janet's Cookie's 🍪 chocolate crinkles from our recent photo shoot.

Such a classic cookie and it styled perfectly with this vintage flour sifter. Brings me back to my childhood days and coming home from school to fresh cookies.
